Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a method for providing vehicle steering support by differential wheel braking, the vehicle (1) comprising:at least two axles (4) with at least two wheels (6) per axle; a braking system (300) allowing individual braking of the wheels (6); and means (400, 402, 404) for determining and/or estimating an operator input torque applied on a steering wheel, wherein the vehicle (1) is configured with a positive scrub radius; the method comprising the steps of: identifying (s101) a need for steering support; determining (s102) a braking value required for achieving the needed steering support based on an integration of a function of at least one input value (Tinput) related to a determined or estimated operator input torque; and controlling (s103) the braking system (300) based on the determined braking value.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de fournir un support de direction de véhicule par freinage de roue différentiel, le véhicule (1) comprenant : au moins deux essieux (4) ayant au moins deux roues (6) par essieu ; un système de freinage (300) permettant un freinage individuel des roues (6); des moyens (400, 402, 404) permettant de déterminer et/ou d'estimer un couple d'entrée d'opérateur appliqué sur un volant de direction, le véhicule (1) étant configuré de sorte à avoir un déport au sol positif ; le procédé consistant : à identifier (s101) un besoin de support de direction ; à déterminer (s102) une valeur de freinage requise pour obtenir le support de direction nécessaire sur la base de l'intégration d'une fonction d'au moins une valeur d'entrée (Tinput) associée à un couple d'entrée d'opérateur déterminé ou estimé ; à commander (s103) le système de freinage (300) sur la base de la valeur de freinage déterminée.
