A method is provided for operating a cooling cabinet arranged for cooling matter in the cabinet. The cabinet for use with this method comprises a storage space for holding the matter, a compressive cooling system comprising at least a first compressor (124), a primary evaporator (122) that is for at least a substantial part fully surrounded by a phase change material provided in a container (120), an air displacement module 154) and a secondary evaporator (132). The method comprises operating the primary evaporator via the compressor until the cooling cabinet reaches a pre-determined state and operating the air displacement module for providing a forced air flow to flow along an outer surface of the container and subsequently through the storage space. Upon the cooling cabinet reaching the pre-determined state, the secondary evaporator is operated for controlling the state of the cooling cabinet.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour faire fonctionner une armoire de réfrigération agencée de façon à refroidir un matériau dans l'armoire. L'invention concerne également une armoire destinée à être utilisée avec ce procédé, laquelle armoire comprend un espace de stockage pour supporter le matériau, un système de refroidissement par compression comprenant au moins un premier compresseur (124), un évaporateur primaire (122) qui est destiné à au moins une partie substantielle entièrement entourée par un matériau à changement de phase disposé dans un récipient (120), un module de déplacement d'air (154) et un évaporateur secondaire (132). Le procédé comprend l'actionnement de l'évaporateur primaire par l'intermédiaire du compresseur jusqu'à ce que l'armoire de réfrigération atteigne un état prédéterminé et l'actionnement du module de déplacement d'air de façon à délivrer un écoulement d'air forcé de façon à ce qu'il s'écoule le long d'une surface externe du récipient, puis à travers l'espace de stockage.
