The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the time required to predict a collision with another vehicle. This collision prediction device 1 is provided with: a detection unit 11 for detecting, from a single-frame captured image of the surroundings of a vehicle, the front, the rear, and side surfaces of other vehicles located in the surroundings of the vehicle; and a determination unit 13 for determining the possibility of collision with the other vehicles on the basis of the result of the detection by the detection unit 11. The determination unit 13 determines that the possibility of collision is higher with respect to another vehicle for which only the front or only the rear is detected, from among the other vehicles for which at least one of the front, the rear, and a side surface is detected by the detection unit 11.

La présente invention a pour objet de réduire le temps requis pour prédire une collision avec un autre véhicule. Le dispositif de prédiction de collision 1 selon l'invention comprend : une unité de détection 11 pour détecter, à partir d’une image, capturée d’une seule trame, des environs d’un véhicule, les surfaces avant, arrière et latérales d’autres véhicules situés dans les environs du véhicule ; et une unité de détermination 13 pour déterminer la possibilité de collision avec les autres véhicules sur la base du résultat de la détection par l’unité de détection 11. L’unité de détermination 13 détermine que la possibilité de collision est plus grande avec un autre véhicule, pour lequel uniquement l’avant ou uniquement l’arrière est détecté, qu'avec les autres véhicules pour lesquels la surface avant et/ou la surface arrière et/ou une surface latérale sont détectées par l’unité de détection 11.
