Provided are: a positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries which is capable of achieving both high capacity and high output when used in a positive electrode material; a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which said positive electrode active material is employed, and which is highly safe and has a high capacity and a high output; and a method for producing the positive electrode active material which is capable of producing said positive electrode active material with ease even on an industrial scale. The positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries is characterized by: including at least primary particles of a lithium-nickel composite oxide represented by the general formula LizNi1-x-yCoxMyO2 (where 0.95≤z≤1.03, 0(FR)
L'invention fournit une matière active d'électrode positive pour une batterie secondaire à électrolyte non aqueux permettant de concilier une capacité élevée et un rendement élevé dans le cas d'une mise en œuvre dans un matériau d'électrode positive, et fournit également une batterie secondaire à électrolyte non aqueux de capacité et de rendement élevés et présentant un haut niveau de sécurité qui emploie cette matière active d'électrode positive. En outre, l'invention fournit un procédé de fabrication de matière active d'électrode positive qui permet de fabriquer facilement ladite matière active d'électrode positive, y compris à échelle industrielle.
