Abstract:
(EN) Provided is a continuous casting method for steel that can suppress the generation of micro-slag based inclusions and improve cleanliness of the steel. The present invention is a continuous casting method for steel that supplies molten steel 15 into a continuous casting mold 14 from a ladle 6 via a tundish 1 and casts continuously and that is characterized in that nitrogen gas is provided at a flow rate Q (NL/min) from a gas flow path opened in the side surface of a long nozzle 5 to the molten steel flow passing through the long nozzle and the flow rate Q satisfies Equation (1). 2 ≤ Q/W < 200 × H1/2 × D3/2 … (1) wherein Q is the nitrogen gas flow rate (NL/min), W is the molten steel throughput (t/min), H is the long nozzle immersion depth (m), and D is the inside diameter of the long nozzle (m).
