Abstract:
(EN) A technique for Friction Stir Working (FSW) a stitch uses a robotic C-frame end effector (CFEE) with a FSW tool and a counter plate at opposite ends of the C-frame. The C- frame has an open center space for receiving an edge of a workpiece. The counter plate has a surface for meeting a distal face of the workpiece. A mover on-board the CFEE is provided for closing and opening the FSW tool with respect to the counter plate, and is adapted to deliver a downforce for FSW. The C-frame has a kinematic structure joining the counter plate to the FSW tool, including a first joint with at least one first traversing DoF with a given range, the DoF is linearly independent of the action of the first mover.
(FR) L'invention concerne une technique destinée au travail par friction-malaxage (FSW) d'un point, mettant en œuvre un effecteur terminal robotique en C (CFEE) doté d'un outil de FSW et d'une contre-plaque aux extrémités opposées du cadre en C. Le cadre en C présente un espace central ouvert destiné à recevoir un bord d'une pièce à travailler. La contre-plaque présente une surface destinée à être en contact avec une face distale de la pièce à travailler. Un élément de déplacement intégré dans le CFEE est agencé et est destiné à fermer et à ouvrir l'outil de FSW par rapport à la contre-plaque, et est conçu pour fournir une force descendante destinée au FSW. Le cadre en C présente une structure cinématique reliant la contre-plaque à l'outil de FSW, comprenant un premier joint doté d'au moins un premier degré de liberté de traversée doté d'une plage donnée, le degré de liberté étant linéairement indépendant de l'action du premier élément de déplacement.
