Abstract:
(EN) A rigid blow molded article comprising: (a) sides of the article forming at least one corner wherein the corner is characterized by a mathematically fitting a sphere of best fit into the corner so there is at a circular arc section in the at least one corner, wherein radius of curvature of the sphere of best fit is less than 5.7 mm; (b) the corner having an average thickness from 0.1 mm to 1 mm; and (c) the sides forming the corner comprise at least an outer layer of an outer layer material having an elastic modulus (E') less than 370 MPa measured by dynamical mechanical analysis ("DMA") per ASTM D4065, with a frequency sweep conducted at the fixed temperature of the cold-crystallization peak temperature("T cc") of the PET copolymer resin minus 15 degree Centigrade (T cc-15degree Centigrade temperature) at 1 Hz, wherein the T cc is measured by way of differential scanning calorimetry ("DSC") at a temperature ramp rate of 10 degree Centigrade per minute.
(FR) L'invention concerne un article moulé par soufflage rigide comprenant : (a) des côtés de l'article formant au moins un coin, le coin étant caractérisé par un ajustement mathématique d'une sphère de meilleur ajustement dans le coin de sorte qu'il se trouve au niveau d'une section d'arc de cercle dans l'au moins un coin, le rayon de courbure de la sphère de meilleur ajustement étant inférieur à 5,7 mm; (b) le coin présentant une épaisseur moyenne de 0,1 mm à 1 mm; et (c) les côtés formant le coin comprenant au moins une couche externe d'un matériau de couche externe présentant un module d'élasticité (E') inférieur à 370 MPa mesuré par analyse mécanique dynamique ("DMA") selon ASTM D4065, avec un balayage de fréquence réalisé à la température fixe de la température de pointe de cristallisation à froid ("Tcc") de la résine de copolymère de PET moins 15 °C (Tcc - température de 15 °C) à 1 Hz, la Tcc étant mesurée au moyen d'une calorimétrie différentielle à balayage ("DSC") à une vitesse de montée de température de 10 °C par minute.
