Abstract:
(EN) A modified bed particles, related methods and applications in processes involving microwave-assisted catalytic reactions. The bed particles modified to be used as a microwave receptor that is capable to simultaneously sustain heat generation mechanisms under microwave irradiations and physically act as catalyst support. The bed particle comprises a dielectric coating deposited on an external surface of a core, the bed particle being sized for use in a fixed bed reactor or a fluidized bed reactor. The bed particles may further comprise a catalytically active material supported on a surface of the dielectric coating. Irradiating the gas-solid reactor with microwaves enables heating the dielectric coating of the solid bed particles, the dielectric coating locally transferring thermal energy to the surrounding gaseous reactants which are thereby selectively converted into the primary products.
(FR) Des particules de lit modifiées, des procédés et des applications associés dans des procédés entraînant des réactions catalytiques assistées par micro-ondes. Les particules de lit modifiées sont utilisées en tant que récepteur de micro-ondes capable de maintenir simultanément des mécanismes de génération de chaleur dans des irradiations par micro-ondes et agissent physiquement comme support de catalyseur. Les particules de lit comprennent un revêtement diélectrique déposé sur une surface externe d'un noyau, les particules de lit étant dimensionnées pour être utilisées dans un réacteur à lit fixe ou un réacteur à lit fluidisé. Les particules de lit peuvent en outre comprendre un matériau catalytiquement actif supporté sur une surface du revêtement diélectrique. L'irradiation du réacteur gaz-solide avec des micro-ondes permet de chauffer le revêtement diélectrique des particules de lit solide, le revêtement diélectrique transférant localement de l'énergie thermique aux réactifs gazeux environnants qui sont ainsi sélectivement convertis en produits primaires.
