Abstract:
(EN) A system for controlling a tension of a tether between an object and a load tethered to the object comprises magnetorheological (MR) fluid actuator unit(s) including at least one torque source and at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus coupled to the at least one torque source to receive torque from the at least one torque source, the MR fluid clutch apparatus controllable to transmit a variable amount of torque via an output of the MR fluid actuator unit. A tensioning member is connected to the output so as to be pulled by the output member upon actuation of the magnetorheological fluid clutch apparatus, a free end of the tensioning member adapted to exert a pulling action when being pulled by the output member. Sensor(s) provide information indicative of a relation between the object and the load tethered to the object. A controller controls the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus in exerting the pulling action based on said information.
(FR) Un système de commande de la tension d'une attache entre un objet et une charge attachée à l'objet comprend une/des unité(s) d’actionneur de fluide magnétorhéologique (MR) comprenant au moins une source de couple et au moins un appareil d'embrayage à fluide MR couplé à ladite source de couple pour recevoir un couple de ladite source de couple, l'appareil d'embrayage à fluide MR pouvant être commandé pour transmettre une quantité variable de couple par l'intermédiaire d'une sortie de l'unité d’actionneur de fluide MR. Un élément de tension est relié à la sortie de manière à être tiré par l'élément de sortie lors de l'actionnement de l'appareil d'embrayage à fluide magnétorhéologique, une extrémité libre de l'élément de tension étant conçue pour exercer une action de traction lorsqu'elle est tirée par l'élément de sortie. Le(s) capteur(s) fournissent des informations indiquant une relation entre l'objet et la charge attachée à l'objet. Un dispositif de commande commande ledit appareil d'embrayage à fluide MR en exerçant l'action de traction sur la base desdites informations.
