Abstract
(EN)
A stable towable submersible device includes a rigid body that is towed at a positive pitch angle relative to the device's direction of motion. An acoustic projector housing extends vertically from the rigid body. When the rigid body rolls about its roll axis, which is tilted at the positive pitch angle, the acoustic projector rolls about the roll axis changing the acoustic projector's angle of attack relative to the direction of motion and generates a restoring force causing the acoustic projector to rotate back to a generally vertical orientation.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif submersible remorquable stable qui comprend un corps rigide qui est remorqué à un angle de tangage positif par rapport à la direction de déplacement du dispositif. Un boîtier de projecteur acoustique s’étend verticalement depuis le corps rigide. Lorsque le corps rigide tourne autour de son axe de roulis, qui est incliné à l’angle de tangage positif, le projecteur acoustique tourne autour de l’axe de roulis en modifiant l’angle d’attaque du projecteur acoustique par rapport à la direction de déplacement et génère une force de rappel amenant le projecteur acoustique à tourner de retour verts une orientation généralement verticale.
