Abstract:
(EN) Sulfate scales, including barium, calcium, strontium, and radium sulfates, are known for being difficult to remove. Mineral acids are typically ineffective and the acid forms of chelating agents have limited efficacy. Specific salts of ethylenedienetetraacetic acid and diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid including: Li5DTPA, Na5DTPA, K5DTPA, Cs5DTPA, Na4EDTA, K4EDTA, TEAH4DTPA, and TBAH5DTPA, show improved performance over the free acids. Additional enhancer molecules may be added to improve the effect. These compositions are particularly useful for removing sulfate scales from surfaces and oilfield equipment.
(FR) Il est connu que l'élimination d'incrustations de sulfate, comprenant des sulfates de baryum, de calcium, de strontium et de radium, est difficile. Les acides minéraux sont généralement inefficaces et les formes acides d'agents chélatants ont une efficacité limitée. Des sels spécifiques de l'acide éthylènediènetétraacétique et de l'acide diéthylènetriaminepentaacétique comprenant : Li5DTPA, Na5DTPA, K5DTPA, Cs5DTPA, Na4EDTA, K4EDTA, TEAH4DTPA et TBAH5DTPA présentent une performance améliorée par rapport aux acides libres. Des molécules d'amélioration supplémentaires peuvent être ajoutées pour améliorer l'effet. Ces compositions sont particulièrement utiles pour éliminer des incrustations de sulfate de surfaces et d'équipement de champ pétrolifère.
