Abstract:
(EN) A geometric and radiometric calibration and test apparatus (1) for electro-optical thermal-IR (8-12 micron) instruments and designed to simulate angularly-extending thermal-IR sources with different geometries and with thermal-IR emissions containing hot-cold transitions. The apparatus (1) comprises an IR collimator (2) having an optical axis (Z) and a focal plane (F); a thermal-IR source (3) movable relative to the collimator (2) to be controllably arrangeable and displaceable in the focal plane (F) of the collimator (2), and operable to radiate thermal- IR radiations towards the collimator (2); and a kit of masks (4) interchangeably arrangeable in front of the thermal-IR source (3) and having geometric and radiometric properties to cause the thermal-IR radiation reproduced on the electro-optical instrument to be calibrated or tested to contain different hot-cold transitions.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil d'étalonnage et de test géométrique et radiométrique (1) destiné à des instruments électro-optiques IR thermique (8-12 microns) et conçu pour simuler des sources IR-thermique à extension angulaire possédant différentes géométries et des émissions d'IR thermique contenant des transitions chaud-froid. L'appareil (1) comprend un collimateur IR (2) présentant un axe optique (Z) et un plan focal (F) ; une source IR thermique (3) mobile par rapport au collimateur (2) destiné à pouvoir être agencée et déplacée de manière commandée dans le plan focal (F) du collimateur (2), et actionnée de façon à rayonner des rayonnements infrarouges thermiques vers le collimateur (2) ; et un kit de masques (4) pouvant être disposés de manière interchangeable devant la source d'IR thermique (3) et présentant des propriétés géométriques et radiométriques permettant de provoquer l'étalonnage ou le test du rayonnement IR thermique reproduit sur l'instrument électro-optique de façon à contenir différentes transitions chaud-froid.
