Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a method for detecting a microorganism in a sample, the method comprising : a) filtering a sample through a filter to entrap any microorganisms present in the sample; b) treating the filter to release genomic material or DNA from the entrapped microorganisms; c) amplifying the genomic material or DNA released from the entrapped microorganisms; and d) identifying specific regions of the genomic material or DNA to determine the presence, identify the species or quantify the approximate number of any entrapped microorganisms.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la détection d'un micro-organisme dans un échantillon, le procédé comprenant : a) la filtration d'un échantillon à travers un filtre pour piéger tout micro-organisme présent dans l'échantillon ; b) le traitement du filtre pour libérer du matériel génomique ou de l'ADN à partir des micro-organismes piégés ; c) l'amplification du matériel génomique ou de l'ADN libéré des micro-organismes piégés ; et d) l'identification de régions spécifiques du matériel génomique ou de l'ADN pour déterminer la présence, identifier l'espèce ou quantifier le nombre approximatif de tout micro-organisme piégé.
