Abstract:
(EN) A method of forming an isocyanate-functional polymer component includes forming a first mixture by mixing a recycled polyurethane article and a first isocyanate component having isocyanate-functional groups. The first mixture is heated to a temperature sufficient to transform the recycled polyurethane article from a solid form to a liquid form and react the liquid recycled polyurethane component with the first isocyanate component to form an isocyanate-functional polymer component having an isocyanate-functional group content greater than zero and less than isocyanate-functional group content of the first isocyanate component. The formed isocyanate-functional polymer component may then be used for forming a polyurethane article or polyurethane foam article that is the reaction product of the formed isocyanate-functional polymer component, a second isocyanate component and anisocyanate-reactive component having hydroxyl-functional groups.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de formation d'un constituant polymère à fonction isocyanate comprenant la formation d'un premier mélange par mélange d'un article de polyuréthane recyclé et d'un premier constituant isocyanate présentant des groupes fonctionnels isocyanate. Le premier mélange est chauffé à une température suffisante pour transformer l'article en polyuréthane recyclé d'une forme solide en une forme liquide et faire réagir le constituant polyuréthane recyclé liquide avec le premier constituant isocyanate pour former un constituant polymère à fonction isocyanate ayant une teneur en groupes fonctionnels isocyanate supérieure à zéro et inférieure à la teneur en groupes fonctionnels isocyanate du premier constituant isocyanate. Le constituant polymère à fonction isocyanate formé peut ensuite être utilisé pour former un article en polyuréthane ou un article en mousse de polyuréthane qui est le produit de réaction du constituant polymère à fonction isocyanate formé, d'un second constituant isocyanate et d'un constituant réactif à l'isocyanate présentant des groupes fonctionnels hydroxyle.
