Abstract:
(EN) A process is provided for desulfurization of a gas comprising at least water vapour, CO2 and SOx (x = 2 and/or 3) at an initial gas temperature. In a treatment unit, the gas can be contacted with a cooled alkaline aqueous solution having a temperature lower than the initial gas temperature and comprising water and a carbonate of an alkali metal, resulting in the cooling of the gas, condensation of some water vapour and absorption of the SOx in the carbonate-containing solution, and the production of a SOx-depleted gas and an acidic aqueous solution comprising sulfate and/or sulfite ions. The SOx-depleted gas and a portion of the acidic aqueous solution can then be withdrawn from the treatment unit. Then, carbonate of the alkali metal can be added to a remaining portion of the acidic aqueous solution to obtain a made-up alkaline aqueous solution which can be reintroduced into the treatment unit. In some implementations, the made-up alkaline aqueous solution can be cooled and reused as the cooled alkaline aqueous solution. An SOx absorbent solution is also provided which comprises a bleed stream obtained from a CO2-capture process and comprising sodium or potassium carbonate, and an acidic aqueous solution obtained from desulfurization of a SOx-containing gas.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de désulfuration d'un gaz comprenant au moins de la vapeur d'eau, du CO2 et du SOx (x = 2 ou 3) à une température de gaz initiale. Dans une unité de traitement, le gaz peut être mis en contact avec une solution aqueuse alcaline refroidie ayant une température inférieure à la température de gaz initiale et comprenant de l'eau et un carbonate d'un métal alcalin, ce qui entraîne le refroidissement du gaz, de la condensation de vapeur d'eau et l'absorption du SOx dans la solution contenant du carbonate, et la production d'un gaz appauvri en SOx et d'une solution aqueuse acide comprenant des ions sulfate ou sulfite. Le gaz appauvri en SOx et une partie de la solution aqueuse acide peuvent ensuite être retirés de l'unité de traitement. Ensuite, le carbonate du métal alcalin peut être ajouté à une partie restante de la solution aqueuse acide pour obtenir une solution aqueuse alcaline reconstituée qui peut être réintroduite dans l'unité de traitement. Dans certains modes de réalisation, la solution aqueuse alcaline obtenue peut être refroidie et réutilisée en tant que solution aqueuse alcaline refroidie. L'invention concerne également une solution absorbante de SOx qui comprend un courant de soutirage obtenu à partir d'un procédé de capture de CO2 et du carbonate de sodium ou de potassium, ainsi qu'une solution aqueuse acide obtenue à partir de la désulfuration d'un gaz contenant du SOx.
