Abstract:
(EN) The present disclosure provides systems and methods for increasing production of an alkaloid product through the epimerization of a (S)-1-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid to a (R)-1-benyzlisoquinoline alkaloid via an engineered epimerase in an engineered host cell. A (S)-1-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid is contacted with said engineered epimerase. Contacting said (S)-1-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid with said engineered epimerase converts said (S)-1-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid to said (R)-1-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid.
(FR) La présente divulgation concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour accroître la production d'un produit alcaloïde par épimérisation d'un alcaloïde (S)-1-benzylisoquinoléine en alcaloïde (R)-1-benzylisoquinoléine par l'intermédiaire d'une épimérase génétiquement modifiée dans une cellule hôte modifiée. Un alcaloïde (S)-1-benzylisoquinoléine est mis en contact avec ladite épimérase génétiquement modifiée. La mise en contact dudit alcaloïde (S)-1-benzylisoquinoléine avec ladite épimérase génétiquement modifiée convertit ledit alcaloïde (S)-1-benzylisoquinoléine en ledit alcaloïde (R)-1-benzylisoquinoléine.
