Abstract:
(EN) Processes for producing polymer microcapsules using vicinal functional oligomers are also described. The vicinal functional oligomers can be made by polymerizing an acrylate monomer, a styrene monomer, or both in the presence of a chain transfer agent. The vicinal functional oligomers can be reacted with epichlorohydrin to form vicinal epoxies. The vicinal epoxies can be reacted with polyamines to form epoxy polymer microspheres. The vicinal epoxies can be reacted with carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst to form vicinal cyclic carbonates. The vicinal cyclic carbonates can be reacted with polyamines to form isocyanate-free polymer microspheres. Polymer microspheres made by the processes are also described.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés de production de microcapsules polymères à l'aide d'oligomères fonctionnels vicinaux. Les oligomères fonctionnels vicinaux peuvent être obtenus par polymérisation d'un monomère d'acrylate, d'un monomère de styrène, ou des deux en présence d'un agent de transfert de chaîne. Les oligomères fonctionnels vicinaux peuvent être mis à réagir avec une épichlorhydrine pour former des époxydes vicinaux. Les époxydes vicinaux peuvent être mis à réagir avec des polyamines pour former des microsphères à base d'un polymère époxy. Les époxydes vicinaux peuvent être mis à réagir avec du dioxyde de carbone en présence d'un catalyseur pour former des carbonates cycliques vicinaux. Les carbonates cycliques vicinaux peuvent être mis à réagir avec des polyamines pour former des microsphères polymères exemptes d'isocyanate.
