Abstract:
(EN) Methods, apparatus, and systems for managing optical characteristics of gemstones (200) with diffractive structures, such as gratings (900) are provided. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a three-dimensional model of a gemstone (200) including representations of surfaces of the gemstone (200), identifying a region on a surface of the gemstone (200) having an optical value higher than one or more other regions on the surface of the gemstone (200) by analyzing the three-dimensional model of the gemstone, and determining a diffractive structure (900) to be arranged on the identified region of the surface of the gemstone (200), such that the gemstone (200) with the diffractive structure (900) has a higher optical performance than the gemstone (200) without the diffractive structure (900). The method can also include fabricating the determined diffractive structure on the identified region of the surface of the gemstone.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés, un appareil et des systèmes pour la gestion des caractéristiques optiques de pierres précieuses avec des structures de diffraction. Selon un aspect, un procédé consiste à obtenir un modèle tridimensionnel d'une pierre précieuse comprenant des représentations des surfaces de la pierre précieuse, à identifier une région sur une surface de la pierre précieuse ayant une valeur optique supérieure à celle d'une ou plusieurs autres régions sur la surface de la pierre précieuse par l'analyse du modèle tridimensionnel de la pierre précieuse, et à déterminer une structure diffractive à disposer sur la région identifiée de la surface de la pierre précieuse, de sorte que la pierre précieuse avec la structure diffractive présente des performances optiques supérieures à celles de la pierre précieuse sans la structure diffractive. Le procédé peut également consister à fabriquer la structure diffractive déterminée sur la région identifiée de la surface de la pierre précieuse.
