Abstract:
(EN) A method to quantitatively determine the amount of deformation induced martensite as a function of temperature and strain in austenitic stainless steels is used to customize the strength and elongation characteristics of certain portions of a formed structural component. Predicting the martensitic volume fraction in a specific part location permits design of particular components with customized strength characteristics that can be consistently repeatably manufactured.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer quantitativement la quantité de martensite induite par déformation en fonction de la température et de la contrainte dans des aciers inoxydables austénitiques qui est utilisé pour personnaliser les caractéristiques de résistance et d'allongement de certaines parties d'un composant structurel formé. La prédiction de la fraction de volume martensitique dans un emplacement de partie spécifique permet la conception de composants particuliers ayant des caractéristiques de résistance personnalisées qui peuvent être fabriqués uniformément de façon répétée.
