Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides an aqueous polyurethane dispersion (PUD) comprising an amorphous polyester having a glass transition temperature (Tg) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry of less than -30C; wherein the aqueous polyurethane dispersion (PUD) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of 0C to 20C and a hard block content of greater than 50%. Coatings, adhesives and sealants made from the inventive aqueous polyurethane dispersion (PUD) pass detergent resistance testing according to the American Architectural Manufacturers Association's standard, AAMA 615-13, have a pencil hardness according to ASTM D3363 of at least 3H, and are particularly suited for use on low surface energy substrates such as vinyl surfaces including floors, windows, doors, window frames, door frames, window shutters, railing, gates, pillars, arbors, pergolas, trellises, gazebos, posts, fencing, pipes and fittings, wire and cable insulation, automobile components, credit cards, and siding.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une dispersion de polyuréthane (PUD) aqueuse comprenant un polyester amorphe ayant une température de transition vitreuse (Tg) telle que déterminée par analyse calorimétrique à compensation de puissance (DSC) inférieure à -30 °C, la dispersion de polyuréthane (PUD) aqueuse présentant une température de transition vitreuse (Tg) telle que déterminée par analyse calorimétrique à compensation de puissance comprise entre 0 °C et 20 °C et une teneur en séquences rigides supérieure à 50 %. Des revêtements, des adhésifs et des agents d’étanchéité constitués de la dispersion de polyuréthane (PUD) aqueuse de l’invention réussissent l'essai de résistance aux détergents selon la norme de l'Association Américaine des Fabricants d'Architecture AAMA 615-13, présentent une dureté au crayon selon la norme ASTM D3363 d’au moins 3H, et conviennent particulièrement à une utilisation sur des substrats à faible énergie de surface tels que les surfaces en vinyle, notamment les planchers, les fenêtres, les portes, les montants de fenêtre, les montants de porte, les stores de fenêtre, les rails, les portails, les piliers, les tonnelles, les pergolas, les treillis, les abris de jardin, les poteaux, les clôtures, les canalisations et les raccords filetés, les isolations de fil et de câble, les pièces automobiles, les cartes de crédit, et les bardages.
