Abstract:
(EN) Miniaturized electrical connector systems are disclosed herein. In exemplary aspects disclosed herein, the connector system includes a twinaxial female connector having a housing and at least one dielectric positioned therein. The at least one dielectric defines two parallel channels configured to receive at least a portion of two conductors of a twinaxial cable. The twinaxial female connector includes an oval interface configured to orient and align the conductors of the twinaxial cable with mating pins of a male connector. The twinaxial female connector further includes two spring-type interconnects positioned within the oval interface, each configured to directly contact a conductor of the twinaxial cable and a mating pin of the male connector. The twinaxial female connector further includes a retaining clip attached to an exterior of the housing with a lever arm biased towards and pivotable from an engaged orientation. Such features reduce the manufacturing complexity, cost, and overall size.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes de connecteur électrique miniaturisés. Dans des aspects donnés à titre d'exemple de l'invention, le système de connecteur comprend un connecteur femelle twinax ayant un boîtier dans lequel est positionné au moins un diélectrique. Ledit diélectrique définit deux canaux parallèles configurés pour recevoir au moins une partie de deux conducteurs d'un câble twinax. Le connecteur femelle twinax comprend une interface ovale configurée pour orienter et aligner les conducteurs du câble twinax avec des broches de couplage d'un connecteur mâle. Le connecteur femelle twinax comprend en outre deux interconnexions de type ressort positionnées à l'intérieur de l'interface ovale, chacune étant configurée pour entrer en contact direct avec un conducteur du câble twinax et une broche de couplage du connecteur mâle. Le connecteur femelle twinax comprend en outre une attache de retenue fixée à un extérieur du boîtier avec un bras levier sollicité vers une orientation de mise en prise et pouvant pivoter à partir de cette dernière. De telles caractéristiques réduisent la complexité de fabrication, le coût et la taille globale.
