Abstract:
(EN) A fluid design with enhanced proppant-carrying capacity utilizes a low- viscosity fluid with high proppant carrying capacity and low required power for injection into a hydrocarbon-bearing, subterranean formation. A preferred viscosifying agent that comprises a copolymer polymerized from an acrylic acid monomer and a monomer selected from: a) at least one carboxylic acid monomer; b) at least one Ci to Cs alkyl ester and/or at least one Ci to Cs hydroxyalkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid; c) one crosslinking monomer; and optionally d) at least one α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, may be used to produce a fracturing fluid that has the pumpability of a slick water fluid and the proppant-carrying ability of a cross-linked gel. An optimization process to optimize hydraulic fracture design evaluates and quantifies the proppant-carrying capacity of the invented fluid and its impact in the proppant transport during fracturing.
(FR) L'invention concerne une conception de fluide présentant une aptitude améliorée au transport d'agent de soutènement, utilisant un fluide de faible viscosité présentant une aptitude élevée au transport d'agent de soutènement et une puissance requise faible pour une injection dans une formation souterraine contenant des hydrocarbures. Un agent viscosifiant préféré qui comprend un copolymère polymérisé à partir d'un monomère d'acide acrylique et d'un monomère choisi parmi : a) au moins un monomère d'acide carboxylique ; b) au moins un ester d'alkyle en C1 à C5 et/ou au moins un ester d'hydroxyalkyle en C1 à C5 d'acide acrylique ou d'acide méthacrylique ; c) un monomère de réticulation ; et éventuellement d) au moins un monomère éthyléniquement α,β-insaturé, peut être utilisé pour produire un fluide de fracturation qui présente l'aptitude au pompage d'un fluide de type eau de nappe et l'aptitude au transport d'agent de soutènement d'un gel réticulé. Un processus d'optimisation pour optimiser la conception de fracture hydraulique évalue et quantifie l'aptitude au transport d'agent de soutènement du fluide de l'invention et son impact dans le transport d'agent de soutènement pendant la fracturation.
