Abstract:
(EN) Methods for separating gaseous components, such as unreacted hydrocarbon monomer and/or solvent, from polyolefin solids are provided. The methods include flowing a first stream including polyolefin solids and gaseous unreacted hydrocarbon monomer and/or solvent through a portion of a gas-solid separation vessel having a volume sufficient so that polyolefin solids present in the first stream have an increased residence time within the gas-solid separation vessel to separate gaseous unreacted hydrocarbon monomer and/or solvent from the polyolefin solids to produce a second stream including polyolefin solids substantially free of gaseous unreacted hydrocarbon monomer and/or solvent and a third stream including the gaseous unreacted hydrocarbon monomer and/or solvent. Systems for carrying out such methods are also provided.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés de séparation de composants gazeux, tels qu'un monomère hydrocarboné n'ayant pas réagi et/ou un solvant, de solides de polyoléfine. Les procédés consistent à faire s’écouler un premier courant comprenant des solides de polyoléfine et un monomère hydrocarboné gazeux n'ayant pas réagi et/ou un solvant à travers une partie d’un récipient de séparation gaz-solide possédant un volume suffisant pour que les solides de polyoléfine présents dans le premier flux ait un temps de séjour augmenté dans le récipient de séparation gaz-solide afin de séparer le monomère hydrocarboné gazeux n'ayant pas réagi et/ou le solvant des solides de polyoléfine pour produire un deuxième courant comprenant des solides de polyoléfine sensiblement exempts de monomère hydrocarboné gazeux n'ayant pas réagi et/ou de solvant et un troisième courant comprenant le monomère hydrocarboné gazeux n'ayant pas réagi et/ou le solvant. L'invention concerne également des systèmes pour mettre en œuvre ces procédés.
