Abstract:
(EN) Optimizations are provided for facilitating an improved transition between a real-world environment and a virtual reality environment. Initially, use of a HMD is detected and one or more real-world physical objects within a threshold proximity to the HMD are identified. Subsequently, a replicated environment, which includes virtual representations of the real-world physical object(s), is obtained and rendered in a virtual reality display. The replicated environment is transitioned out of view and a VR environment is subsequently rendered in the virtual reality display. In some instances, rendering of virtual representations of real-world physical objects into the VR environment occurs is response to detected triggering event.
(FR) L'invention concerne des optimisations destinées à faciliter une transition améliorée entre un environnement de monde réel et un environnement de réalité virtuelle. Initialement, l'utilisation d'un HMD est détectée et un ou plusieurs objets physiques du monde réel se trouvant dans la limite d'un seuil de proximité du HMD sont identifiés. Ensuite, un environnement reproduit, qui comprend des représentations virtuelles du ou des objets physiques du monde réel, est obtenu et restitué dans un affichage de réalité virtuelle. L'environnement reproduit est évacué de la vue par une transition, et un environnement de VR est ensuite restitué dans l'affichage de réalité virtuelle. Dans certains cas, le rendu de représentations virtuelles d'objets physiques du monde réel dans l'environnement de VR a lieu en réaction à un événement déclencheur détecté.
