Abstract:
(EN) With the purpose of providing an improved cleaning mechanism that accomplishes better results and that may be used in thermal and piezoelectric printing, it is dis-closed a method for cleaning a printhead comprising: moving a wiper along a plurality of nozzles of the printhead; and pressurizing the nozzles within the printhead, the pressurization of each nozzle causing ink to be expelled in an expelling direction; wherein a controller is to detect the position of the wiper and to selectively pressurize at least some of the nozzles for which the position of the wiper corresponds to its expelling direction.
(FR) La présente invention a pour but de fournir un mécanisme de nettoyage amélioré qui permet d'obtenir de meilleurs résultats et qui peut être utilisé dans l'impression thermique et piézoélectrique. Ladite invention concerne un procédé de nettoyage d'une tête d'impression qui consiste : à déplacer un balai le long d'une pluralité de buses de la tête d'impression et à mettre sous pression les buses à l'intérieur de la tête d'impression, la mise sous pression de chaque buse amenant l'encre à être expulsée dans une direction d'expulsion, un dispositif de commande étant destiné à détecter la position du balai et à mettre sous pression de manière sélective au moins certaines des buses pour lesquelles la position du balai correspond à sa direction d'expulsion.
