CLAIMS

1 . A demulsifying agent comprising at least an organic compound and at least a solvent;

wherein the organic compound comprises solvent naphtha and the solvent comprises silicate for demulsifying bitumen from natural asphalt.

2. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate is any or a combination of sodium silicate or sodium metasilicate.

3. The demulsifying agent according to claim 2, wherein the sodium metasilicate comprises sodium metasilicate anhydrous or sodium metasilicate pentahydrate.

4. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate has a density of 1 .0195 to 1 .078 g/cm3.

5. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate has a concentration of 4 to 8% by weight in water.

6. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate comprises silicon dioxide with an amount equal or more than 27.3% by weight.

7. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate comprises sodium oxide with an amount equal or more than 12.8% by weight.

8. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate has a molar ratio of 0.94 to 2.5.

9. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate comprises a ferum content of equal or less than 0.02% by weight.

10. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the silicate comprises non-dissolvable material of equal or less than 0.2% by weight.

1 1 . The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the solvent naphtha comprises any one or a combination of 1 ,2,3-trimethylbenzene, 1 ,2,4-trimethylbenzene, or 1 ,3,5-trimethylbenzene.

12. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the solvent naphtha comprises any one or a combination of 2-ethyltoluene, 3-ethyltoluene, or 4-ethyltoluene.

13. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the solvent naphtha has a density of 0.86 - 0.89 g/cm3.

14. The demulsifying agent according to claim 1 , wherein the solvent naphtha has a molar mass of 120.2 g/mol.
