Abstract:
(EN) [Problem] To provide a polarization beam splitter that can have reduced size and weight relative to the prior art. [Solution] This polarization beam splitter has a translucent substrate and a hologram layer provided on the front surface of the substrate, the polarization beam splitter being capable of separating S-polarized light from light incident on the hologram layer via the substrate, wherein the substrate has a back surface facing the front surface on which the hologram layer is provided, and a side surface connecting the front surface and the back surface, and the hologram layer has a hologram for diffracting circularly polarized light incident on the hologram layer from outside the substrate via either the back surface or a portion of the side surface and causing S-polarized light having an extinction ratio of 50:1 or greater to be generated toward the other of the back surface or the portion of the side surface.
(FR) Le problème décrit par la présente invention est de fournir un diviseur de faisceau de polarisation dont la taille et le poids peuvent être réduits par rapport à l'état de la technique. La solution selon l'invention porte sur un diviseur de faisceau de polarisation comprenant un substrat translucide et une couche d'hologramme disposée sur la surface avant du substrat, le diviseur de faisceau de polarisation étant apte à séparer la lumière polarisée S de la lumière incidente sur la couche d'hologramme par l'intermédiaire du substrat, le substrat comprenant une surface arrière faisant face à la surface avant sur laquelle la couche d'hologramme est disposée, et une surface latérale reliant la surface avant et la surface arrière, et la couche d'hologramme comprenant un hologramme permettant de diffracter la lumière à polarisation circulaire incidente sur la couche d'hologramme depuis l'extérieur du substrat par l'intermédiaire de la surface arrière ou d'une partie de la surface latérale et amenant une lumière à polarisation S ayant un rapport d'extinction de 50:1 ou plus à être généré vers l'autre de la surface arrière ou de la partie de la surface latérale.
(JA) 【課題】従来に比べて、小型化及び軽量化できる偏光ビームスプリッタを提供する。 【解決手段】本発明の偏光ビームスプリッタは、透光性の基材と、基材の表面に設けられたホログラム層とを有し、基材を介してホログラム層に入射した光からS偏光の光を分離できる偏光ビームスプリッタであって、基材は、ホログラム層が設けられた表面に対向する裏面と、表面と裏面とを接続する側面とを有し、ホログラム層は、裏面又は側面の一部のいずれか一方を介して基材の外部からホログラム層に入射した円偏光の光を回折させて消光比が50:1以上のS偏光の光を裏面又は側面の前記一部の他方に向けて発生させるホログラムを有している 。
