In this gas turbine, a first stage stationary blade (23A) and a first side wall portion (54A) and a second side wall portion (54B) of a combustor outlet satisfy one of the following conditions (a) and (b). If an axial direction from an upstream side to a downstream side is defined as an x-axis and a circumferential direction is defined as a y-axis, then relative to a first reference tangent (S1) which passes through a position at which an inclination dy/dx of an inside wall surface (58A) at a downstream end portion of the first side wall portion (54A) is a maximum and which extends to the downstream side of the inside wall surface (58A), a first angle (A1) between the first reference tangent (S1) and a first tangent (S3) to a negative pressure surface (60) of the front portion (64) of one first stage stationary blade (23A), said first tangent passing through a point of intersection (P1) of the first reference tangent (S1) and the negative pressure surface (60), is at most equal to 45 degrees, and the one first stage stationary blade (23A) satisfies 0.05≤Δy/P≤0.25, where Δy is an amount of projection in the circumferential direction of the negative pressure surface (60) from the inside wall surface (58A) of the first side wall portion (54A), and P is an arrangement pitch of the first stage stationary blades (23A) in the circumferential direction. (a) Minimum gaps in the axial direction between the front portion (64) of the one first stage stationary blade (23A) and each of the first side wall portion (54A) and the second side wall portion (54B) are at most equal to 10% of a length La of the one first stage stationary blade (23A) in the axial direction; (b) a most upstream point of the front portion (64) of the one first stage stationary blade (23A) is positioned further upstream, in the axial direction, than the most downstream end of at least one of the first side wall portion (54A) and the second side wall portion (54B).
