(EN) An apparatus (10) comprising: a light source (12); to cast light toward a substrate (20) defining a bacteria binding volume to create an evanescent field (22), the bacteria binding volume being within the evanescent field; a detector (32, 34) arranged to receive light from the bacteria binding volume and output data (36, 37); and a processor (38) arranged to determine vibration of bacteria (26) within the bacteria binding volume in three-dimensions from the data.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil (10) qui comprend : une source de lumière (12) conçue pour projeter de la lumière vers un substrat (20) définissant un volume de liaison de bactéries pour créer un champ évanescent (22), le volume de liaison de bactéries étant à l'intérieur du champ évanescent ; un détecteur (32, 34) conçu pour recevoir la lumière provenant du volume de liaison de bactéries et des données de sortie (36, 37) ; et un processeur (38) conçu pour déterminer une vibration des bactéries (26) à l'intérieur du volume de liaison de bactéries dans les trois dimensions à partir des données.
