Abstract:
(EN) A facility for sorting mail items (A) comprises a sorting conveyor with sorting outputs (2) and storage bins (3) and, in addition, a bin conveyor (4) disposed along the sorting conveyor under the sorting outlets, and a shuttle robot (5) capable of being controlled by a monitoring/control unit (6) in order to automatically enter a bin into a sorting output and deposit it underneath on the bin conveyor, the shuttle robot been furthermore provided with a safety system designed to detect the presence of an obstacle in the direction of its movement approaching at a certain safety distance and, in response to this detection, reducing the movement speed of the shuttle robot.
(FR) Une installation pour le tri d'articles de courrier (A) comprend un convoyeur de tri avec des sorties de tri (2) et des bacs de stockage (3) et en outre un convoyeur de bacs (4) disposé le long du convoyeur de tri sous les sorties de tri, et un robot navette (5) apte à être commandé par une unité de contrôle/commande (6) pour saisir automatiquement un bac dans une sortie de tri et le déposer en dessous sur le convoyeur de bacs, le robot navette étant muni par ailleurs d'un système de sécurité agencé pour détecter la présence d'un obstacle dans le sens de son roulage s'approchant à une certaine distance de sécurité et en réponse à cette détection réduire la vitesse de déplacement du robot navette.
