Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to the field of molecular methods for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases. Specifically, it relates to a diagnostic/prognostic procedure based on multivariant predictive models generated from levels of different combinations of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL1-alpha, IL1-beta and IL17A) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IFN-gamma, IL2, IL12p70, IL3, IL4, IL5, IL10 and IL3) in oral fluids or tissue, for the diagnosis of periodontal diseases, the progression of same and the response thereof to various therapeutic interventions. In a particular embodiment, these combinations of cytokines showed an excellent ability to discriminate (≥95%) the presence of chronic periodontitis from a situation of good gingival/periodontal health, as well as precision percentages of ≥92% in most of the combinations.
(FR) La présente invention se rapporte au domaine des méthodes moléculaires de diagnostic et de pronostic pour des pathologies. Concrètement, l'invention se rapporte à un procédé de diagnostic/pronostic basé sur des modèles prédictifs multivariables générés à partir des niveaux de combinaisons distinctes de cytokines pro-inflammatoires (IL1alfa, IL1beta et IL17A) et anti-inflammatoires (IFNgamma, IL2, IL12p70, IL3, IL4, IL5, IL10 et IL3) dans du tissu ou des fluides buccaux pour le diagnostic des maladies parodontales, leur progression et leur réponse aux différentes interventions thérapeutiques. Dans un exemple particulier, ces combinaisons de cytokines ont démontré une excellente capacité de différencier (≥95%) la présence d'une périodontite chronique par rapport à une situation de santé gingivale/parodontale ainsi que des pourcentages de précision ≥92% dans la majorité des combinaisons.
(ES) La presente invención se refiere al campo de métodos moleculares de diagnóstico y pronóstico para patologías. En concreto, se refiere a un procedimiento diagnóstico/pronóstico basado en modelos predictivos multivariantes generados a partir de los niveles de distintas combinaciones de citoquinas pro-inflamatorias (IL1alfa, IL1beta e IL17A) y anti-inflamatorias (IFNgamma, IL2, IL12p70, IL3, IL4, IL5, IL10 e IL3) en tejido o fluidos orales para el diagnóstico de las enfermedades periodontales, su progresión y su respuesta a las diferentes intervenciones terapéuticas. En un ejemplo particular, estas combinaciones de citoquinas mostraron una excelente capacidad de discriminar (≥95%) la presencia de una periodontitis crónica con respecto a una situación de salud gingival/periodontal, así como porcentajes de precisión ≥92% en la mayoría de las combinaciones.
