Abstract:
(EN) Modulation control method for a filter device for avoiding flicker appearing in streamed video images before acquiring images, comprising the following steps: • setting the exposure time to be equal or longer than an oscillating light source's period duration or to be as long as possible between two frames in the image acquisition of streamed video images, • polarizing of incoming light (26a) in a first polarizer (21a) to turn into polarized light with a first polarization (27b), • altering the polarization of the light with the first polarization (27b) in an electro- or magneto-optic modulator (22) by an angle α to turn into light with a second polarization (27c), • reducing an amount of light with the second polarization (27c) in a second polarizer (21b), with the remaining intensity of the outgoing light (26d) I2 being I2 = I1 cos2 β,wherein I1 is the light intensity before passing the second polarizer and β is the angle between the polarization orientation of the light and the polarization orientation of the second polarizer (21b). The invention also refers to an electro- or magneto-optic modulated anti-flicker filter device, a camera system with such a filter device, and a rear view device of a motor vehicle with such a camera system.
(FR) Procédé de commande de modulation pour un dispositif de filtre destiné à éviter un papillotement apparaissant dans des images vidéo en flux avant l'acquisition d'images, comprenant les étapes suivantes : régler le temps d'exposition de façon à être égal ou supérieur à une durée de période de source de lumière oscillante ou pour être aussi long que possible entre deux trames dans l'acquisition d'images vidéo diffusées en continu, polariser la lumière entrante (26a) dans un premier polariseur (21a) pour la transformer en lumière polarisée avec une première polarisation (27b), modifier la polarisation de la lumière avec la première polarisation (27b) dans un modulateur électro-ou magnéto-optique (22) selon un angle α pour la transformer en lumière avec une seconde polarisation (27c), réduire une quantité de lumière ayant la seconde polarisation (27c) dans un second polariseur (21b), l'intensité restante de la lumière sortante (26d)I 2 étant I 2 = I 1 cos2 β, où I 1 est l'intensité lumineuse avant le passage du second polariseur et β est l'angle entre l'orientation de polarisation de la lumière et l'orientation de polarisation du second polariseur (21b). L'invention concerne également un dispositif de filtre anti-papillotement modulé électro-ou magnéto-optique, un système de caméra comprenant un tel dispositif de filtre, et un dispositif de visualisation arrière d'un véhicule motorisé équipé d'un tel système de caméra.
