Abstract:
(EN) Vents and micro-structures of rubber molds may become clogged with rubber that is difficult to remove. These vents and micro-structures can be cleaned of rubber, even if heat aged, by subjecting the mold to high temperatures in the presence of a solvent to devulcanize any rubber present. If the rubber used with the mold being cleaned includes carbon black, a solvent may be used to dissolve the devulcanized polymer, leaving the carbon black which can be removed by water jets or other cleaning means.
(FR) L'invention concerne le nettoyage des évents et microstructures de moules en caoutchouc, qui sont susceptibles de se colmater par du caoutchouc, qui est difficile à éliminer. Ces évents et microstructures peuvent être débarrassés du caoutchouc, même après vieillissement thermique, en soumettant le moule à de hautes températures en présence d'un solvant pour dévulcaniser tout caoutchouc présent. Si le caoutchouc utilisé avec le moule en cours de nettoyage contient du noir de carbone, on peut utiliser un solvant pour dissoudre le polymère dévulcanisé, en laissant le noir de carbone, qui peut être éliminé par des jets d'eau ou d'autres moyens de nettoyage.
