Abstract:
(EN) A submodule (SMA) for a modular multilevel converter comprises a capacitor(CSM),a first group of series-connected switching units and a first chain link branch comprising a first chain-link (CL1),wherein the first group of switching units is connected in parallel with the capacitor (C SM) and where a first switching unit (SU1,) comprises a first switching element (T1) with a first anti-parallel unidirectional conducting element (D1) and a second switching unit (SU2) comprises a second switching element (T2) with a second anti-parallel unidirectional conducting element (D2),the first switching element (T1) is controllable to be turned on via a control terminal and to be turned off through reverse-biasing, and the first chain link branch is connected in parallel with the first switching unit (SU1) and the first chain link (CL1) comprises cascaded cells controllable to provide voltage contributions combinable to form positive and negative voltages across the first switching element.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un sous-module (SMA) pour un convertisseur modulaire multiniveaux qui comprend un condensateur (CSM), un premier groupe d'unités de commutation connectées en série et une première branche de liaison de chaîne comprenant une première liaison de chaîne (CL1), le premier groupe d'unités de commutation étant connecté en parallèle au condensateur (C SM)) et une première unité de commutation (SU1) comprenant un premier élément de commutation (T1) avec un premier élément conducteur unidirectionnel antiparallèle (D1), et une seconde unité de commutation (SU2) comprenant un second élément de commutation (T2) avec un second élément conducteur unidirectionnel antiparallèle (D2), le premier élément de commutation (T1) pouvant être commandé pour être activé par l'intermédiaire d'une borne de commande et pour être éteint par polarisation inverse, et la première branche de liaison de chaîne étant connectée en parallèle à la première unité de commutation (SU1) et la première liaison de chaîne (CL1) comprenant des cellules en cascade pouvant être commandées pour fournir des contributions de tension pouvant être combinées pour former des tensions positive et négative à travers le premier élément de commutation.
