Abstract:
(EN) Embodiments of the present invention include a battery management system that provide a plurality of channels that allow communication between host and clients. This communication may operate in bi-directional modes such that commands from the host and responses from the clients are transmitted clockwise or counter-clockwise around a daisy-chain loop. This architecture provides both a high level of redundancy across multiple channels as well as transmission directions around the loop. The use of multiple channels provides a separation in signal paths akin to the provision of completely separate physical wires, preventing malfunction of spurious operation of devices using one channel from interfering with the normal operation of devices using the other channel. In addition, the signaling architecture allows a host to dynamically transmit commands and receive responses between specific client(s) and host or broadcast communication across all clients.
(FR) Des modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent un système de gestion de batterie qui procure une pluralité de canaux qui permettent une communication entre un hôte et des clients. Cette communication peut fonctionner dans des modes bidirectionnels de telle sorte que des ordres provenant de l'hôte et des réponses provenant des clients sont transmises dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre autour d'une boucle en guirlande. Cette architecture procure à la fois un niveau élevé de redondance sur de multiples canaux et des directions de transmission autour de la boucle. L'utilisation de multiples canaux produit une séparation dans des trajets de signal similaire à la disposition de fils physiques complètement séparés, empêchant un mauvais fonctionnement, à savoir un fonctionnement parasite de dispositifs utilisant un canal interférant avec le fonctionnement normal de dispositifs utilisant l'autre canal. De plus, l'architecture de signalisation permet à un hôte de transmettre des ordres et de recevoir des réponses de façon dynamique entre un ou plusieurs client(s) spécifique(s) et un hôte ou de transmettre une communication entre tous les clients.
