Abstract:
(EN) Techniques are disclosed for managing data within a reconfigurable computing environment. In a multiple processing element environment, such as a mesh network or other suitable topology, there is an inherent need to pass data between processing elements. Subtasks are divided among multiple processing elements. The output resulting from the subtasks is then merged by a downstream processing element. In such cases, a join operation can be used to combine data from multiple upstream processing elements. A control agent executes on each processing element. A memory buffer is disposed between upstream processing elements and the downstream processing element. The downstream processing element is configured to automatically perform an operation based on the availability of valid data from the upstream processing elements.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des techniques de gestion de données dans un environnement informatique reconfigurable. Par nature, un environnement à éléments de traitement multiples, tel qu'un réseau maillé ou une autre topologie appropriée, nécessite de transmettre des données entre les éléments de traitement. Les sous-tâches sont divisées entre les multiples éléments de traitement. Le résultat issu des sous-tâches est ensuite fusionné par un élément de traitement en aval. Dans de tels cas, une opération de regroupement peut être utilisée pour combiner les données provenant des multiples éléments de traitement en amont. Un agent de commande s'exécute sur chaque élément de traitement. Un tampon de mémoire est situé entre les éléments de traitement en amont et l'élément de traitement en aval. L'élément de traitement en aval est configuré pour effectuer automatiquement une opération sur la base de la disponibilité des données valables provenant des éléments de traitement en amont.
