Abstract:
(EN) An autonomous semi-truck can include a cabin, a drive system operable to drive the autonomous semi-truck, and a configuration of sensors mounted to the cabin. The configuration of sensors can include at least one high-definition LIDAR sensor having a first field of view that encompasses a region in front of the autonomous semi-truck, and a set of sensors having fields of view that encompass side regions extending laterally from each side of a trailer coupled to the autonomous semi-truck. The autonomous semi-truck can further include a control system that receives sensor data from the at least one HD LIDAR sensor and the set of sensors and autonomously operates the drive system based on the received sensor data.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une semi-remorque autonome qui peut comprendre une cabine, un système d'entraînement servant à entraîner la semi-remorque autonome, et une configuration de capteurs montés sur la cabine. La configuration de capteurs peut comprendre au moins un capteur LIDAR haute définition ayant un premier champ de vision qui englobe une région à l'avant de la semi-remorque autonome, et un ensemble de capteurs ayant des champs de vision qui englobent les régions latérales s'étendant latéralement à partir de chaque côté d'une remorque accouplée à la semi-remorque autonome. La semi-remorque autonome peut en outre comprendre un système de commande qui reçoit des données de capteurs provenant du ou des capteurs LIDAR HD et de l'ensemble de capteurs et actionne de manière autonome le système d'entraînement sur la base des données de capteurs reçues.
