Abstract:
(EN) This disclosure describes incorporation of a liquid additive within one or more phases of a multiphase polymer coating. The structure of the microphase-separated network provides reservoirs for liquid in discrete and/or continuous phases. Some variations provide an anti-fouling segmented copolymer composition comprising: (a) one or more first soft segments selected from fluoropolymers; (b) one or more second soft segments selected from polyesters or polyethers; (c) one or more isocyanate species; (d) one or more polyol or polyamine chain extenders or crosslinkers; and (e) a liquid additive disposed in the first soft segments and/or the second soft segments. The first soft segments and the second soft segments are microphase-separated on a microphase-separation length scale from 0.1 microns to 500 microns. These solid/liquid hybrid materials improve physical properties associated with the coating in applications such as anti-fouling (e.g., anti-ice or anti-bug) surfaces, ion conduction, and corrosion resistance.
(FR) La présente invention concerne l'incorporation d'un additif liquide dans une ou plusieurs phases d'un revêtement polymère multiphases. La structure du réseau séparé en microphases forme des réservoirs pour un liquide dans des phases discrètes et/ou continues. Certaines variantes concernent une composition de copolymère segmenté antisalissure comprenant : (a) un ou plusieurs premiers segments mous choisis parmi des fluoropolymères ; (b) un ou plusieurs seconds segments mous choisis parmi des polyesters ou des polyéthers ; (c) une ou plusieurs espèces isocyanate ; (d) un ou plusieurs agents d'allongement de chaîne ou agents de réticulation polyol ou polyamine ; et (e) un additif liquide placé dans les premiers segments mous et/ou les seconds segments mous. Les premiers segments mous et les seconds segments mous sont séparés en microphases sur une échelle de longueur de séparation de microphases de 0,1 micron à 500 microns. Ces matériaux hybrides solides/liquides améliorent les propriétés physiques associées au revêtement dans des applications telles que des surfaces antisalissures (par exemple, antigivrage ou anti-insecte), la conduction ionique et la résistance à la corrosion.
