Abstract:
(EN) The present invention mainly relates to a polymer for delivery of biologically active materials, a complex and a method of synthesis thereof. The polymer comprises a poly(ethylene imine) and at least one monomer, each monomer comprising a modified sugar moiety, preferably galactose, comprising a sulphur atom or a nitrogen atom and a chemical moiety comprising a terminal epoxide for linking the polyethylene imine to the monomer, wherein the sulphur atom or the nitrogen atom links the modified sugar moiety to the chemical moiety. The biologically active material is preferably a gene, siRNA, mRNA, or plasmid DNA. Further disclosed is the medical use of said complex in treating a disease caused by a genetic disorder, for example cancer.
(FR) La présente invention concerne principalement un polymère pour la libération de matières biologiquement actives, un complexe et son procédé de synthèse. Le polymère comprend une poly(éthylène imine) et au moins un monomère, chaque monomère comprenant une entité sucre modifiée, de préférence du galactose, comprenant un atome de soufre ou un atome d'azote et une entité chimique comprenant un époxyde terminal pour lier la polyéthylène-imine au monomère, l'atome de soufre ou l'atome d'azote liant l’entité sucre modifiée à l’entité chimique. La matière biologiquement active est de préférence un gène, un ARNsi, un ARNm ou un ADN plasmidique. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation médicale dudit complexe dans le traitement d'une maladie provoquée par un trouble génétique, par exemple le cancer.
