Abstract:
(EN) The purpose of the present invention is to improve visibility of a virtual image. For example, an image processing unit to be applied to a display controller 200 is provided with a generation unit 230 for generating a display image including a display element corresponding to a virtual image V1 viewed by a user. The generation unit 230 determines the planar shape of the display element such that the size of the virtual image V1 viewed by the user changes on the basis of the viewpoint height of the user. Specifically, when the viewpoint height changes from a reference position THα to a position Normal or Short lower than the reference position THα, the generation unit 230 determines the planar shape of an enlarged display element. For example, the planar shapes S1, S2', S3', and S4 of the virtual image V1 in a real space viewed by the user extend in the front direction and the rear direction.
