Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to equipment capable of filtering and adsorbing organic, inorganic and biological substances and particles from various media, such as aqueous and gaseous media. The invention comprises a process for adsorbing pollutant elements or elements of interest from the filtered medium. The equipment is composed of: 1 - an input opening; 2 - a protective layer; 3 - inert material (optional); 4 - a chitosan and/or nanochitosan foam column; 5 - inert material (optional); 6 - a protective layer; and 7 - an output opening. The filtering material is biodegradable and can be reused after heat treatment. Once its service life as a filtering material has come to an end, the chitosan and/or nanochitosan foam can still be used as compost for crops, more specifically as a source of nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus, sulphur, potassium and calcium, depending on the composition of the medium it was in contact with. When used for adsorbing metals, these can be recovered by subjecting the foam to heat, chemical or physical treatment.
(FR) L'invention concerne un équipement capable de filtrer et d'adsober des particules et des substances organiques, inorganiques et biologiques de milieux divers, tels que des milieux aqueux et gazeux. L'invention comprend le procédé d'adsorption des éléments polluants ou d'intérêt du milieu filtré. Cet équipement comprend : 1 - une ouverture d'entrée ; 2 - une couche protectrice ; 3 - un matériau inerte (facultatif) ; 4 - une colonne de mousse de chitosane et/ou de nanochitosane ; 5 - un matériau inerte 8facultatif) ; 6 - une couche protectrice ; et 7 - une ouverture de sortie. Le matériau filtrant est biodégradable et peut être réutilisé après traitement thermique. Lorsque sa vie utile en tant que matériau filtrant arrive à terme, la mousse de chitosane et/ou de nanochitosane peut encore être utilisée comme engrais dans dse plantations, notamment comme source d'azote, de carbone, de phosphore, de soufre, de potassium et de calcium, selon la composition du milieu avec lequel elle a été en contact. Lors d'une utilisation pour l'adsorption de métaux, ceux-ci peuvent être récupérés en en soumettant la mousse à des traitements thermiques, chimiques ou physiques.
(PT) Trata-se de um equipamento capaz de filtrar e adsorver partículas e substâncias orgânicas, inorgânicas e biológicas de meios diversos, como meios aquosos e gasosos. A invenção compreende o processo de adsorção dos elementos poluentes ou de interesse do meio filtrado. O equipamento é composto por: 1 – uma abertura de entrada; 2 - uma camada protetora; 3 – material inerte (opcional); 4 – coluna de espuma de quitosana e/ou nanoquitosana; 5 – material inerte (opcional); 6 – camada protetora; e 7 – abertura de saída. O material filtrante é biodegradável e pode ser reutilizável após tratamento térmico. Quando finda sua vida útil como material filtrante, a espuma de quitosana e/ou nanoquitosana pode ainda ser utilizada como adubo em plantações, mais especificamente como fonte de nitrogênio, carbono, fósforo, enxofre, potássio e cálcio, dependendo da composição do meio em que esteve em contato. Quando utilizada para adsorção de metais, estes podem ser recuperados submetendo a espuma a tratamentos térmicos, químicos ou físicos.
