Abstract:
(EN) A gas flow indicator device (10) has an elongate housing (12) defining a chamber (20) enabling gas flow from an inlet (22) at a first end (16) to an outlet (24) at a second end (18). An annular indicator member (26) extends over part of the length of the chamber (20) and enables gas to enter the chamber along a bore (28) through the indicator member (26). The indicator member (26) is spaced from an inner surface (30) of a peripheral sidewall (14) of the housing (12) to define an annular space (32). A concealment member (34) is movable by a sufficient pressure generated by gas flow through the chamber (20), against a biasing member (36) acting to bias the concealment member (34). An annular skirt (38) of the concealment member (34) is receivable into the annular space (32) so one end (40) of the skirt (38) provides a seal against an annular surface (42) at an end wall (44) at the first end (16), while a transverse wall (48) at the other end (46) of the concealment member (34) defines an opening (50) providing resistance to gas flow. The one end (40) of the skirt (38) can be held in sealing engagement at the annular surface (42) to conceal or obscure the indicator member (26) through a window (52) of the housing (12). Increasing gas flow rate overcomes the bias, enabling the concealment member (34) to move to expose the indicator member (26) to view through the window (52), and provide a visual indication of gas flow. A fitting member (100) at the second end (18) has an engagement portion (114) operable to constrain the biasing member (36) such as to preclude vibrations and/or, in the case of a biasing member (36) in compression, to prevent its full compression.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif indicateur de débit de gaz (10) qui possède un boîtier allongé (12) délimitant une chambre (20) permettant à un gaz de s'écouler depuis un orifice d'entrée (22) à une première extrémité (16) jusqu'à un orifice de sortie (24) à une seconde extrémité (18). Un élément indicateur annulaire (26) s'étend sur une partie de la longueur de la chambre (20) et permet au gaz d'entrer dans la chambre le long d'un trou (28) à travers l'élément indicateur (26). L'élément indicateur (26) est espacé d'une surface interne (30) d'une paroi latérale périphérique (14) du boîtier (12) pour délimiter un espace annulaire (32). Un élément de dissimulation (34) est mobile sous l'effet d'une pression suffisante générée par le débit de gaz à travers la chambre (20), à l'encontre d'un élément de sollicitation (36) agissant pour solliciter l'élément de dissimulation (34). Une jupe annulaire (38) de l'élément de dissimulation (34) peut être reçue dans l'espace annulaire (32) de telle sorte qu'une extrémité (40) de la jupe (38) fournit un joint d'étanchéité contre une surface annulaire (42) au niveau d'une paroi d'extrémité (44) de la première extrémité (16), alors qu'une paroi transversale (48) au niveau de l'autre extrémité (46) de l'élément de dissimulation (34) délimite une ouverture (50) fournissant une résistance au flux de gaz. La première extrémité (40) de la jupe (38) peut être maintenue en contact d'étanchéité au niveau de la surface annulaire (42) pour dissimuler ou obscurcir l'élément indicateur (26) à travers une fenêtre (52) du boîtier (12). L'augmentation du débit de sortie de gaz surmonte la sollicitation, ce qui permet à l'élément de dissimulation (34) d'exposer l'élément indicateur (26) pour permettre de regarder à travers la fenêtre (52), et de fournir une indication visuelle du débit de gaz. Un élément d'ajustement (100) au niveau de la seconde extrémité (18) possède une partie de mise en contact (114) utilisable pour contraindre l'élément de sollicitation (36) de manière à exclure des vibrations et/ou, dans le cas d'un élément de sollicitation (36) en compression, à empêcher sa compression complète.
