Abstract:
(EN) Optimized, heat-integrated methods and systems are provided to produce multiple, high-value products from oil shale, while minimizing overall energy and water usage. A method for producing multiple products from oil shale comprises: feeding raw oil shale into a heated retorting unit, to convert kerogen into a retorted stream; introducing the retorted stream to a distillation column to generate a highcetane diesel stream, an alpha-olefin-containing chemical stream, an asphalt/asphalt additive stream, and an overhead gas stream, wherein heat contained in the retorted stream is harnessed as distillation energy; separating the overhead gas stream into a fuel gas stream and a purge gas stream; combusting the fuel gas stream to generate hot flue gas; heating the purge gas with hot flue gas; feeding the heated purge gas directly to the heated retorting unit; and recovering the high-cetane diesel stream, the alpha-olefin-containing chemical stream, and the asphalt/asphalt additive stream as products.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes optimisés, à chaleur intégrée, permettant de produire de multiples produits à valeur élevée à partir de schistes bitumineux, tout en réduisant au minimum l'utilisation globale d'énergie et d'eau. Le procédé de production de multiples produits à partir de schistes bitumineux comprend les étapes consistant : à alimenter une unité d'autoclavage chauffée en schistes bitumineux bruts, en vue de convertir du kérogène en un flux autoclavé ; à introduire le flux autoclavé dans une colonne de distillation en vue de générer un flux diesel à teneur élevée en cétane, un flux chimique contenant des alpha-oléfines, un flux d'additifs asphalte/asphalte et un flux de gaz de tête, la chaleur contenue dans le flux autoclavé étant exploitée en tant qu'énergie de distillation ; à séparer le flux de gaz de tête en un flux de gaz combustible et un flux de gaz de purge ; à brûler le flux de gaz combustible en vue de générer un gaz de combustion chaud ; à chauffer le gaz de purge avec un gaz de combustion chaud ; à alimenter l'unité d'autoclavage chauffée directement en gaz de purge chauffé ; et à récupérer le flux diesel à teneur élevée en cétane, le flux chimique contenant des alpha-oléfines et le flux d'additif asphalte/asphalte en tant que produits.
