Abstract:
(EN) A turbine includes a tower and a nacelle supported on the tower and configured for rotation relative to the tower about a yaw axis. One or more brake discs are fixed to the tower and disposed about the yaw axis. One or more brake discs are also fixed to the nacelle and disposed about the yaw axis. The brake discs fixed to the nacelle are aligned with the brake discs fixed to the tower. The brake discs may be aligned in a direction parallel to the yaw axis or in a radial direction relative to the yaw axis. One or more yaw brakes are configured for movement between a first position in which the yaw brake applies a first braking force to the brake discs and a second position in which the yaw brake applies a second braking force to the brake discs greater than the first braking force.
(FR) L'invention porte sur une turbine comprenant une tour et une nacelle portée sur la tour et conçue pour tourner par rapport à la tour autour d'un axe de lacet. Un ou plusieurs disques de frein sont fixés à la tour et disposés autour de l'axe de lacet. Un ou plusieurs disques de frein sont également fixés à la nacelle et disposés autour de l'axe de lacet. Les disques de frein fixés à la nacelle sont alignés avec les disques de frein fixés à la tour. Les disques de frein peuvent être alignés dans une direction parallèle à l'axe de lacet ou dans une direction radiale par rapport à l'axe de lacet.
