Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a liquid crystal composition, a liquid crystal film using same, and a liquid crystal display device. Specifically, the present invention provides technology related to: a liquid crystal composition which can be deposited and manufactured into a film at temperatures at or below 100°C; a film which is manufactured using the liquid crystal composition and useful for manufacturing a flexible display device; and a liquid crystal display device. Process simplification, increased process yield, and manufacturing cost reduction can be achieved in the field of liquid crystal display devices through the present invention. Also, since deposition and film manufacture are possible at temperatures at or below 100°C, the present invention can be applied, as a substrate in the manufacture of the liquid crystal display device, to not only a glass material but also a plastic material having poor thermal stability. Therefore, the present invention provides techniques and materials highly suitable for curved display devices and flexible display devices. By including a hydrophobic component having physical properties similar to a liquid crystal as a constituent element, the liquid crystal composition of the present invention can be manufactured by a simple mixing and stirring process. Also, the present invention provides a technique by which the size of liquid crystals distributed within the film in a liquid crystal-carrying film obtained by drying a coating solution can be controlled to be a uniform size of several µm to several tens of nm.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une composition de cristaux liquides, un film à cristaux liquides l'utilisant, et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides. Spécifiquement, la présente invention concerne une technologie associée à : une composition de cristaux liquides qui peut être déposée et fabriquée en un film à des températures égales ou inférieures à 100 °C; un film qui est fabriqué à l'aide de la composition de cristaux liquides et utile pour fabriquer un dispositif d'affichage souple; et un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides. Une simplification de procédé, un rendement de procédé accru et une réduction des coûts de fabrication peuvent être obtenus dans le domaine des dispositifs d'affichage à cristaux liquides selon la présente invention. Également, puisque le dépôt et la fabrication de film sont possibles à des températures égales ou inférieures à 100 °C, la présente invention peut être appliquée, en tant que substrat dans la fabrication du dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides, non seulement à un matériau en verre mais également à un matériau plastique ayant une faible stabilité thermique. Par conséquent, la présente invention concerne des techniques et des matériaux hautement appropriés pour des dispositifs d'affichage incurvés et des dispositifs d'affichage souples. En comprenant un constituant hydrophobe ayant des propriétés physiques similaires à un cristal liquide en tant qu'élément constitutif, la composition de cristaux liquides de la présente invention peut être fabriquée par un procédé simple de mélange et d'agitation. La présente invention concerne également une technique au moyen de laquelle la taille de cristaux liquides distribués à l'intérieur du film dans un film porteur de cristaux liquides obtenu par séchage d'une solution de revêtement peut être régulée de façon à être une taille uniforme de plusieurs µm à plusieurs dizaines de nm.
(KO) 본 발명은 액정 조성물, 이를 이용한 액정 필름 및 액정 표시장치에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로는 구체적으로는 100℃ 이하의 온도에서 도포 및 필름 제조가 가능한 액정 조성물과, 이를 이용하여 제조됨으로서 플렉서블 표시장치의 제조에 유용한 필름 및 액정 표시장치에 대한 기술을 제공하며, 본 발명을 통하여 액정 표시장치 분야에서 공정 단순화, 공정수율 증가, 제조원가 절감을 달성할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명은 100℃ 이하의 온도에서 도포 및 필름제조가 가능함으로 액정 표시장치의 제조에서 기판으로서 유리 소재뿐 아니라 열 안정성이 취약한 플라스틱 소재에도 적용이 가능하다. 따라서, 본 발명은 곡율 표시장치, 플렉서블 표시장치에 매우 적합한 기술과 소재를 제공한다. 본 발명의 액정 조성물은 구성 성분에서 액정과 물리적 성질이 유사한 소수성 성분으로 구성됨으로 단순한 혼합 교반 공정으로 제조가 가능하며, 코팅액의 건조를 통하여 얻은 액정 담지 필름은 필름 내 분산된 액정의 사이즈를 수 um에서 수십 nm까지 균일한 사이즈로 조절이 가능한 기술을 제공한다.
