CLAIMS

1. Saddle (10) for a cycle comprising:

- a support (11) for the connection to a bicycle frame;

- a rigid frame (12), suitable to support the bicycle user's weight;

- a deformable cover (13) having an upper face (13a) adapted to be engaged by the user's pelvic area;

characterized in that it comprises fastening means operable to fasten said cover (13) to said frame (12) or to remove it from the latter; said cover (13) being replaceable; said cover (13) having a lower face (13b) and said frame (12) having a support face (12a) on which, in use, rests the lower face (13b) of said cover (13) to support the latter; said saddle (10) comprising means for contrasting the sliding of said cover (13) lower face (13b) on the support face (12a) of said frame (12).

2. Saddle (10) according to claim 1 , characterized in that said fastening means comprise connectors (14) having a male element (14a) fixed to said cover (13) and a female element (14b) fixed to said frame (12).

3. Saddle (10) according to claim 2, characterized in that said male element (14a) is provided with a base (15) and a stem (16) which extends perpendicularly to said base (15) and which has a thickened clamping end (17); said female element (14b) being provided with:

- an open cavity (18), adapted to receive said clamping end (17), and

- resilient retaining means, configured such that if said clamping end (17) is inserted in said cavity (18), said retaining means prevent the extraction of said clamping end (17) from said cavity (18) if the force exerted to separate them is below a predefined threshold force.

Saddle (10) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said frame (12) which extends mainly in a anteroposterior direction (A) and has a front supporting element (20) and two rear support elements (21 , 22) that are mirrored to each other with respect to said anteroposterior direction (A); said support (11) comprising two branches (11a, 11b) which extend from a central zone (11c) so as to form a V, if viewed in plan; the front supporting element (20) of said frame

(12) being fixed to the central zone (11c) of said support (11) and rear support elements (21 ,22) of said frame (12) being each fastened to a free end (123, 124) of a corresponding one of the branches (11a, 11b) of said support (11).

5. Saddle (10) according to claim 4 characterized in that said rear support elements (21 , 22) are separated by a slit (B) and are joined to said front support (20) by resilient elements configured so as to elastically yield in use so as to spread apart said support elements (21 , 22) for damping the weight of a user who sits on said saddle (10).

Saddle (10) according to one of claims 4 and 5, characterized in that each of said branches (11a, 11b) has two sections (23a, 23b, 24a, 24b) which are opposed with respect to an intermediate concavity set between themselves so as to form a curved structure elastically yieldable to dampen, in use, the load exerted by a user; said saddle (10) comprising a tensioning device (26) which interconnects the two sections (23a, 23b, 24a, 24b) of each of said branches (11a, 11b) and is operable to adjust the stiffness of said branches (11a, 11b).

7. Saddle (10) according to one of claims 4-6 and one of claims 2 and 3, characterized in that said connectors (14) have one of said male or female elements fixed to said support (11).

8. Saddle (10) according to one of the preceding claims characterized in that said means for contrasting the sliding comprise at least an adhesive layer (27) fixed to said lower face (13b) of said cover

(13) and said face of support (12a) to hold them to one another.

9. Saddle (10) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said frame (12) has protection edges that, when said saddle (10) is in use, protrude with respect to said cover (13) to shield the latter from contact with other objects.

10. Saddle (10) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said cover (13) is made of a polymeric material foam.

11. Saddle (10) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said frame (12) and/or said support (11) are made of composite material comprising carbon fiber.
