Claims

Electrode assembly, comprising a plurality of electrodes (12), wherein the plurality of electrodes (12) is surrounded by an electrically insulating cover (14), wherein additionally to the plurality of electrodes (12), a cooling plate (16) is provided for cooling or heating the plurality of electrodes (12), wherein the cooling plate (16) at at least one end protrudes the electrodes (12) to form a connecting portion (20), wherein the connecting portion (20) proceeds in a direction deviating from the main direction of the electrodes (12) for fixing the electrode assembly (10) to a cooling base plate (24), characterized in that the cooling plate (16) is positioned between at least two electrodes (12) of the plurality of electrodes (12) and is further surrounded by said electrically insulating cover (14).

Electrode assembly according to claim 1 , characterized in that the cover (14) is formed as an electrically insulating foil.

Electrode assembly according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cooling plate (16), additionally to the cover (14), is provided with an electrically insulating layer (30).

Electrode assembly according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that at least one electrode (12) is electrically connected to the cooling plate (16).

Electrode assembly according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the cooling plate (14) comprises an electrically insulating layer (30), wherein the layer (30) comprises a gap (32) for electrically contacting the cooling plate (16) with at least one electrode (12).

Electrode assembly according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cooling plate (16) is electrically insulated against the electrodes (12), wherein external connectors (34) are guided into the cover (14) for electrically contacting the electrodes (12).

Electrode assembly according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cooling plate (16) is formed as a multilayer assembly, wherein a first layer (44) is provided for electrically contacting an electrode (12) being polarized as an anode and wherein a second layer (48) is provided for electrically contacting an electrode (12) being polarized as a cathode.

Electrode assembly according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cooling plate (16) is formed in a two-part form along at least one of its height and width, wherein a first layer part (38) is provided for electrically connecting an electrode (12) being polarized as an anode and a further part (40) is provided for electrically connecting an electrode (12) being polarized as a cathode.

9. Electrode assembly according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the cooling plate (16) comprises at least one hole (54) for guiding an electrolyte through the cooling plate (16).

10. Battery module comprising at least one electrode assembly (10) according to any of claims 1 to 5 or 7 to 9 and a cooling base plate (24), wherein the connecting portion (20) of at least one electrode assembly (10) is connected to the cooling base plate (24).
