Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a method for controlling a differential braking arrangement (208, 210) of a vehicle (100), said vehicle (100) comprising at least one auxiliary braking arrangement (212) and at least one differential braking arrangement (208, 210), said auxiliary braking arrangement (212) and said differential braking arrangement (208, 210) being connected to a pair of propelled wheels (104, 104', 106, 6') of said vehicle (100), wherein the differential braking arrangement (208, 210) is arranged to control a relative rotational speed between the pair of propelled wheels (104, 04', 106, 106'), wherein the method comprises the steps of receiving (S1) a signal indicative of a downhill slope (306) for a road ahead of said vehicle (100); determining (S2) an inclination (304) of said downhill slope (306); determining (S3) a braking power needed for the at least one auxiliary braking arrangement (212) for preventing the vehicle speed of the vehicle (100) from exceeding a predetermined speed limit when driving at the downhill slope (306); and engaging (S4) the at least one differential braking arrangement (212) for reducing the relative rotational speed between the propelled wheels (104, 104', 106, 106') if the determined braking power of the at least one auxiliary braking arrangement (212) is higher than a predetermined threshold limit, wherein the at least one differential braking arrangement (208, 210) is engaged when the vehicle (100) is positioned at a predetermined distance (302) from the downhill slope (306).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de commande d'un agencement de freinage différentiel (208, 210) d'un véhicule (100), ledit véhicule (100) comprenant au moins un agencement de freinage auxiliaire (212) et au moins un agencement de freinage différentiel (208, 210), ledit agencement de freinage auxiliaire (212) et ledit agencement de freinage différentiel (208, 210) étant raccordés à une paire de roues motrices (104, 104', 106, 6') dudit véhicule (100), l'agencement de freinage différentiel (208, 210) étant agencé pour commander une vitesse de rotation relative entre la paire de roues motrices (104, 04', 106, 106'), le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à recevoir (S1) un signal indicatif d'une pente descendante (306) pour une route devant ledit véhicule (100) ; déterminer (S2) une inclinaison (304) de ladite pente descendante (306) ; déterminer (S3) une puissance de freinage nécessaire pour ledit au moins un agencement de freinage auxiliaire (212) pour empêcher la vitesse du véhicule (100) de dépasser une limite de vitesse prédéterminée lors de la conduite sur la pente descendante (306) ; et mettre en prise (S4) ledit au moins un agencement de freinage différentiel (212) pour réduire la vitesse de rotation relative entre les roues motrices (104, 104', 106, 106') si la puissance de freinage déterminée du au moins un agencement de freinage auxiliaire (212) est supérieure à une limite de seuil prédéterminée, ledit au moins un agencement de freinage différentiel (208, 210) étant mis en prise lorsque le véhicule (100) est positionné à une distance prédéterminée (302) de la pente descendante (306).
