Abstract:
(EN) A strain sensing optical fiber cable is provided. The cable includes at least one optical fiber embedded in the cable jacket such that vibrations from the environment are transmitted into the cable jacket to the optical fiber. The cable is configured in a variety of ways, including through spatial arrangement of the sensing fibers, through acoustic impedance matched materials, through internal vibration reflecting structures, and/or through acoustic lens features to enhance sensitivity of the cable for strain/vibration detection/monitoring.
(FR) L'invention concerne un câble à fibres optiques de détection de contraintes. Le câble comprend au moins une fibre optique incorporée dans la gaine de câble de telle manière que des vibrations provenant de l'environnement sont transmises à la fibre optique dans la gaine de câble. Le câble est configuré de diverses manières, y compris par l'agencement spatial des fibres de détection, par des matériaux adaptés à l'impédance acoustique, par des structures réfléchissant les vibrations internes, et/ou par des caractéristiques lenticulaires acoustiques pour améliorer la sensibilité du câble pour la détection/surveillance de vibrations.
