Abstract:
(EN) The subject process enhances catalytic activity for demetallization and desulfurization of a residue feed stream by injecting water into the feed and hydrotreating in two stages with interstage separation. Water injection improves the demetallation activity of the HDM catalyst and separating vapor comprising hydrogen sulfide from the demetallized effluent improves the activity of the HDS catalyst. We have discovered that the water injection and hydrogen sulfide removal together provide a profound synergetic effect.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé d'amélioration de l'activité catalytique servant à la démétallisation et à la désulfuration d'un courant d'amenée de résidus par injection d'eau dans l'amenée et par hydrotraitement en deux étapes comportant une séparation entre étages. Le procédé selon l'invention améliore l'activité du catalyseur de démétallisation (HDM) et la vapeur de séparation consistant en du sulfure d'hydrogène provenant de l'effluent de démétallisation améliore l'activité du catalyseur de désulfuration (HDS). Nous avons découvert que l'injection d'eau et l'élimination du sulfure d'hydrogène conjointement procurent un profond effet synergétique.
